Pluto Circle:

The most telling signal of dramatic and irrevocable change is not coming from the newspapers or social media, or even your most trusted advisers. It’s streaming into your field from a tiny planet at the edge of the solar system. And here’s the thing — that planet isn’t just in the Universe around you. He’s also in the one within.

You probably know him by his Roman name, Pluto, which means “wealth bringer.” His older, Greek name is Hades, or ‘the unseen one” – describing both a place, the Underworld, and the divine being who lived there. Whenever you’re in despair or terror, obsessed or paranoid, feeling irresistibly magnetic or cold to the point of numbness – you’re there in Pluto’s world too. Whatever happens, your life will be forever changed by it. Pluto goes so deep it can’t be any other way.

For 80 days this fall – from September 1 to November 19 – Pluto has been nearly motionless. Without stopping, he’s been radiating through one of the zodiac’s most transformative degrees. Is he stuck? Or contemplating what he’ll do next? Whatever it is, however it’s happening, it’s bigger than your life. It’s changing our world.

In 29 days – or 27, or 20, depending on when you’re reading these words – the change Pluto is evoking in you will become much more clear.

29’ Capricorn is fabled for students of astrology. It’s “the critical degree” of the sign that is everything we call “reality.” It’s where, out of the realm of authority, stability, and hierarchy, something unimaginable is born – Aquarius, the zodiac’s most visionary sign.

That’s where Pluto has just begun to move, slowly and imperceptibly, toward the future.

Pluto’s been in Capricorn since 2008, with a single, overriding purpose – to collapse the moribund reality structures, of your life and of our world, and regenerate those that still have something left to give us. On November 19, 2024, his mission will be accomplished. Your life is the place it is happening.

You might think there’s nothing you can do in the face of a power so massive and unstoppable. You might think that by this point, there’s nothing to do but resign yourself to fate.

If you did, though, you’d be missing the most important thing of all. The ancient myths of the Underworld – and those who have traveled there – tell us that it’s the place where an almost incomprehensible transformation happens. It’s where Inanna found inside herself a power beyond anything she had dreamed. It’s where Persephone – a young, innocent, pampered maiden who lived all her life by rules she did not make – became Queen of the Mysteries. And it’s where you’re likely finding yourself too, as the world is taking us all to an edge we didn’t know existed.

The most crucial and empowering part of a Pluto journey happens when you have experienced it in its totality. In saying yes to its potency, you immerse yourself in its regenerative power. When you think it’s too late, the real magic comes alive.

In the world’s oldest story, Inanna found that power in the Underworld. But that’s not what allowed her to leave. For that, she had to claim the power. She had to speak it.

That’s the purpose of the Pluto Circle – to commit to the change already happening, within and around you. To witness and honor all that’s dying, reconfiguring, and transforming in your life. To name what you are leaving behind and what is coming alive within you. This potent container is a space for:

• Witnessing and being witnessed as you call in the power of all you have experienced as Pluto has traveled every degree of your birth chart – and your life – that holds the sign of Capricorn since 2008.

• Naming all you have felt, done, lost, and gained.

• Retrieving all that’s been taken from you, hidden from you, refused you — affirming it’s never too late to own your story by choosing how you work with the creative potential the past still holds, no matter what it was at the time.

• Claiming your identity as a Queen of the Mystery as you turn towards a world in metamorphosis — the deep, transformative change you came into this world to experience.

• Creating a container for understanding the generational and civilizational Pluto cycles that your life is part of.
